Renowned Kazakh lawyer Meiirman Shekeev has shared a heartfelt message of thanks to everyone who has offered support and condolences following the recent, unexpected passing of his elder brother.

Shekeev took to social media to express his gratitude, explaining that due to the demanding nature of his work, he was unable to personally thank each individual who reached out during this difficult time. He shared a special video message to convey his appreciation to all who have shared in his grief.

"Due to time constraints, I was unable to personally thank everyone who offered their condolences on the untimely death of my elder brother. I apologize for this," Shekeev stated in the video. "Through this message, I want to express my sincere gratitude to all of you who have shown support and shared in my sorrow."

He emphasized how such tragic moments underscore the preciousness of loved ones and the importance of cherishing relationships. Shekeev urged people to be more attentive to one another and live with mutual respect, recognizing the brevity of life.

The lawyer specifically extended his thanks to his relatives, friends, colleagues, and followers who provided support during this challenging period. He mentioned individuals such as Ruslan Utepbai, Adilethan, the "Altyn Mebel" team, and lawyers Zhantore, Bagda, Azamat, Alpamys Okey, Zhandos Alimbetov, Kamisha, and Medet Zhan for their presence and support.

Meiirman Shekeev gained significant public recognition for his role in the case of Sherzat Polat, a 16-year-old who tragically died in October 2024 in Talgar following an assault by a group of teenagers. This incident sparked widespread public outcry, with residents demanding a thorough investigation and organizing protests.

Nine individuals, including a minor, were brought to trial in connection with the criminal case. Shekeev stepped in to represent the interests of the victim's parents, seeking justice for their son. The trial garnered considerable public attention, with Shekeev being recognized for his efforts in defending the rights of the victim's family and demanding accountability for those responsible.
