World Champions and Olympians Discuss Safety with Semey Youth
World champions, Olympic medalists, and police officers recently gathered in Semey for a crucial discussion focused on the safety of young people. The event, held as part of a significant youth forum, aimed to engage teenagers on pressing issues they face daily.
A Forum for Young Minds
Titled "Law and Order – Guarantee of a Safe Childhood," the forum explored topics vital to adolescent well-being. Key areas of discussion included online safety, the impact of social media, preventing bullying, combating online fraud, and the dangers of drug-related crimes.
Organizers emphasized that the event was designed to be more than just a meet-and-greet with sports stars. It served as an open platform for dialogue on life values, discipline, respect for the law, and personal responsibility.
Addressing Modern Challenges
Eldar Daniyarov, head of the Abai Regional Police Department, highlighted the complex threats today's youth encounter online, from cyberbullying and fraud to drug exposure. "Today's teenagers face various dangers like bullying, online fraud, drugs, and aggression on social media. We can only overcome these challenges together by uniting the efforts of families, schools, society, sports, and law enforcement agencies," he stated.
Stars and Law Enforcement Unite
The forum featured prominent figures from the sports world and law enforcement. Attendees included Madina Astamirova, First Vice-President of the Weightlifting Federation; Police Colonel Jambulat Ziyadin, Vice-President of the Weightlifting Federation; Ayzat Karashashev, Vice-President of the Kazakhstan Taekwondo WT Federation; Artem Antropov, 2024 World Champion; Nurgissa Adiletuly, World Champion; Temirlan Tleules, a bronze medalist at the 2025 U21 World Championships; Amanzhol Uteuov, World MMA Champion; and Denis Ulanov, a bronze medalist at the 2016 Olympic Games.
Joining the discussion online were Olympic champion Olga Rypakova, Guinness World Record holder Sergey Tsyryulnikov, and MMA fighter and blogger Vasily Takhtay.

During the event, athletes shared their personal journeys, discussing the path to success, overcoming obstacles, the importance of discipline, and the role of family.
