49-year-old Kazakh actress and singer Aigul Imanbayeva, who studied in London under the Bolashak program, has decided to continue her education and enroll in a doctoral program, reports infohub.kz.

In her Instagram stories, the artist admitted that she is very nervous before the test. "All these people are now applicants, and in the future they will be doctoral students, but only Allah knows who will get in. Wish me luck," she wrote.

After the exam, Imanbayeva got back in touch with her followers and shared her impressions. "I've already left the exam. The deadline was 3 hours 10 minutes, I was there for about 2 and a half hours. I was glad that I got questions that I had studied, but only God knows how it will go. Because there are many applicants for different specialties," she noted.

The actress also touched on the topic of stereotypes about creative people. "Society has developed the opinion that artists are uneducated, like clowns who should only sing songs and entertain at tois, such stereotypes have been formed for a long time. But I disagree with this, I am a person who loves to learn, seek something new, and develop. I have already received 4 diplomas. The reason I want to enroll in a doctoral program is that I have 20 years of experience in pedagogy and many topics for research, and the role of culture in society is very important. Creative people have a mission, we need to prove it and show it to the future generation, it is in our hands, we can do it, because we are already middle-aged people. I submitted documents not for show, not for the status of a PhD doctor. And you are mistaken if you think that creative people are only engaged in shows and clownery; among us there are many who study and develop," she emphasized.

Recall that in the summer of 2023, Aigul Imanbayeva flew to London to study under the Bolashak program. By the end of May 2024, the actress completed her studies and showed her diploma. She stated that she intends to pass on her knowledge to students.
