Astana has launched the republican operational and preventive operation 'Law and Order', prompting the police to switch to an enhanced duty mode. This was reported by the website infohub.kz, citing the capital's police department.

The operation aims to maintain public order, prevent and suppress offenses, and ensure the safety of citizens. The police department noted that officers have intensified measures to uphold law and order on the streets and in other public places. Special attention is paid to the prevention of crimes and administrative offenses, as well as prompt response to emergencies.

During patrols within the operation, police officers stopped a Haval car driven by a 28-year-old man for inspection. It turned out that he had previously been deprived of the right to drive vehicles. As clarified by the police department, the violator has been brought to responsibility, the car has been impounded, and the materials have been sent to court for a decision.

Astana police urge residents and guests of the city to follow established rules, respect others, and immediately contact police officers for help in case of security threats or incidents.

Earlier, it was reported that police in Almaty have also intensified their work: patrols will cover streets, courtyards, and places of mass gathering as part of a similar operational and preventive operation.
