Agricultural fairs under the 'Dala Dami' brand, where produce is sold below market prices, continue to operate across Kazakhstan. The Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan highlighted the money-saving offer, according to infohub.kz.

The fairs launched on September 19 and are held on weekends in every region of the country. Over the first three weeks, according to the ministry, more than 13,000 tonnes of products were sold. Organizers plan to trade year-round. According to the ministry, goods at the fairs are 20% cheaper than at the market.

The lower prices are attributed to direct deliveries from domestic farmers and a reduced number of intermediaries.

This week, 3,500 tonnes of food were brought to the fairs. Vegetables and melons make up the bulk — 1,700 tonnes. Buyers are also offered 785 tonnes of meat and meat products, 285 tonnes of dairy products, as well as poultry, fish, fruit and other goods.

For example, this weekend in Astana, shoppers can buy products from Turkistan and West Kazakhstan regions. More than 600 tonnes of agricultural goods were delivered to the capital.

"Turkistan Region will present 60 tonnes of meat and meat products, 260 tonnes of vegetables and fruit, and more than 60 tonnes of milk and dairy products. About 50 tonnes of meat, 80,000 eggs, 11 tonnes of fish and other food products were brought from West Kazakhstan Region," the Ministry of Trade said.

Recall that in April 2026, the akimat presented a plan under which all weekend fairs in Almaty will become full-fledged bazaars.

Earlier, Kursiv LifeStyle visited one of the fairs to find out how worthwhile shopping there really is.
