Chinese automaker Geely Galaxy has opened pre-sales for its first body-on-frame SUV, the Galaxy Zhanjian 700, also known as the Cruiser 700. Demand was so strong that the newcomer collected 43,900 preliminary orders in the first hour, according to infohub.kz.

The model is offered in six trim levels priced from 200,000 to 390,000 yuan, or roughly 13.3–26 million tenge. The limited Land Ark edition of 700 vehicles has already sold out completely.

Interest showed from the very first minutes: the SUV racked up its first 10,000 pre-orders in just 9 minutes, and within an hour the tally had reached 43,900.

The Cruiser 700 features the brand's Oriental Lion design language. Up front are large daytime running lights, the Sky Eye lighting system and an illuminated logo.

The SUV measures 5,085 × 1,999 × 1,895 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm and ground clearance of 233 mm. The approach angle is 30° and the departure angle 31°. The claimed wading depth is 800 mm.

The vehicle is built on the Thor EM-T AI hybrid system with three electric motors and either a 1.5-liter gasoline engine producing 120 kW or a 2.0-liter unit rated at 160 kW. Total output of the top version reaches 830 kW, or 1,113 hp, with 13,920 N·m of torque at the wheels.

It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.95 seconds. The manufacturer also claims it completes the moose test at 80 km/h.

The Geely Galaxy Cruiser 700 is equipped with a 47.14 kWh LFP battery from CATL. It can travel up to 305 km on electric power alone under the CLTC cycle, while total range exceeds 1,200 km. In certain tests, the figure reached 1,700 km, according to the manufacturer.

Also claimed are 800-volt fast charging and fuel consumption of 5.95 l/100 km with a depleted battery.

The cabin features a multimedia system with five screens, along with an 18.5-liter refrigerator and massaging front seats.

For off-road driving, a digital chassis offers 17 modes, including Crab Walk and Waltz Turn. The latter reduces the minimum turning radius to 3.36 m.

An emergency floating mode is also claimed: if the permissible wading depth is exceeded, the vehicle can retain the ability to move on water for up to 40 minutes.
