The producer of Saryagash mineral water earned 2.2 billion tenge in net profit in 2025, up 28% from the previous year. Alex company, owned by prominent Kazakh businessman Kairat Boranbayev, continues to grow its financial performance, reports infohub.kz.
Revenue from product sales increased by 24% to 11.7 billion tenge. At the same time, the cost of produced water also rose by 20.3% to 7.6 billion tenge. Administrative expenses surged by 89% to 1.5 billion tenge, driven by a near doubling of labor costs to 612.4 million tenge, as well as significant spending on advertising and design (157 million tenge) and repairs and maintenance (136.6 million tenge). In the previous year, spending on the latter two items was minimal.
The company's balance sheet includes construction in progress worth 582 million tenge. In 2020, the company began work on developing and drilling a new well, but in 2025 it decided to halt the project, resulting in a loss of 134.7 million tenge.
In parallel, the company is preparing and building a new mineral water plant, including reconstruction and expansion of the existing facility. Work on this project continues.
On April 29, 2025, the company signed an agreement to open a credit line of 1 billion tenge for seven years to finance the construction and modernization of the plant. Under this agreement, a loan of 511.4 million tenge was received in 2025.
The enterprise extracts and bottles mineral water in the Saryagash district of the Turkistan region, using three wells. Products are sold under the brand Alex Saryagash.
The sole owner of the company is Kairat Boranbayev, one of the most influential entrepreneurs in Kazakhstan. In addition, he owns the I'm fast-food chain and packaging manufacturer Food Packaging, and is a co-owner of the Esentai Mall and Esentai Tower.
Earlier it was reported that the Kazakh government approved Kairat Boranbayev's pharmaceutical project worth 42.5 billion tenge.
