A resident of Karaganda shared a story on social media that became an example of simple human care shown by police officers, reports the website infohub.kz.

As seen in the video, patrol police officers stopped a driver. "I really didn't expect that. Police officers stopped me, and there was an ambulance nearby. They asked: 'Are you tired? Are you going far? Maybe you need to rest? Your eyes are red - you shouldn't drive like this,'" the man said.

The officers asked about his health, measured his blood pressure, gave him water, and reminded him to be careful during long trips. According to the patrol police, the incident occurred on August 16 at the 257th kilometer of the Astana - Atbasar - Zhaksy highway in the Akmola region.

During the intense heat, preventive work on the highways was intensified. Together with medics and road workers, police monitored the condition of drivers. High temperatures, fatigue, and long hours behind the wheel can negatively affect a driver's well-being and concentration, increasing the risk of traffic accidents.

On certain stretches of highways where there are long distances between gas stations, police also remind drivers to refuel in a timely manner. Special attention is paid to the road situation in the pre-dawn hours, when fatigue increases the risk of a driver falling asleep at the wheel. Helping drivers in difficult situations is one of the important areas of patrol police work.
