In the Zhambyl region, a court canceled a fine of 15,000 tenge imposed on a young man for lack of registration at his place of residence during his military service, reports the website infohub.kz.

According to the official Telegram channel of the Zhambyl regional courts, the Talas District Court reviewed the citizen's complaint against the decision to hold him administratively liable for violating residence registration rules.

In June 2026, during an inspection at the Karatau Public Service Center, it was found that the young man was not registered at his place of residence. A protocol was drawn up against him under Part 2 of Article 492 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, and he was fined 15,000 tenge.

Disagreeing with this decision, the young man went to court. He explained that he had been serving in the National Guard since June 2025 and was discharged to the reserve in June 2026 upon completion of his service.

The man noted that during his military service, his father had deregistered him from his place of residence. He only learned about the deregistration after finishing his military service.

The court confirmed his military service with documents.

The court noted that the official had not properly investigated all circumstances relevant to correctly deciding whether to hold the person liable. The procedural violations prevented a comprehensive, full, and objective review of the case.

Therefore, the court upheld the complaint, canceled the fine, and terminated the proceedings.

The ruling has entered into legal force.
