Over the past five years, Kazakhstan's IT services exports have grown more than 34-fold, from $33.5 million in 2020 to $1.142 billion by the end of 2025, according to infohub.kz.

These figures were reported by the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development. The growth has been consistent: exports reached $60.07 million in 2021, $337 million in 2022, $529.1 million in 2023, and $690.7 million in 2024. In 2025, the figure surpassed the $1 billion mark for the first time.

Notably, Kazakhstan has become a net exporter of IT services: export revenue exceeded spending on imports of foreign digital solutions by more than 2.6 times, with imports totaling $429 million.

The ministry also compared Kazakhstan's performance with other countries in the region. For instance, Georgia's exports of telecommunications, computer, and information services in 2024 amounted to $842.3 million, while Armenia's were around $1.18 billion.

Kazakhstani IT companies now supply digital solutions to more than 110 countries. Exports by Astana Hub participants reached $634 million in 2025, with 537 companies engaged in foreign sales. The ecosystem has created over 32,000 jobs.

The next step is to further expand the presence of Kazakhstani tech companies in the markets of the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. The authorities also plan to develop international channels for promoting domestic IT solutions.

The strategic goal is to increase Kazakhstan's IT services exports to $5 billion by 2030.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that companies in Central Asia and the Caucasus are significantly outpacing global average rates of artificial intelligence adoption. According to KPMG, 53% of companies in the region already use AI at scale, compared to 24% globally. However, only 34% of companies in the region have a full-fledged AI strategy.
