Police in Kokshetau have launched an investigation into an incident in which a 40-year-old woman sustained a spinal injury while visiting a game club, reports infohub.kz.

According to the press service of the Akmola Regional Police Department, the pre-trial investigation was initiated following a statement from a woman born in 1986. She claims she fell and injured her spine while playing at the club.

In connection with this incident, law enforcement officers opened a criminal case under an article providing for liability for the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements.

During the investigative measures, police identified the organizer of the game. Currently, his role in the incident is being determined, as well as all the circumstances surrounding the injury.

The investigation will need to establish under what exact conditions the fall occurred and whether the injury was sustained directly during the game.

Police noted that a final legal assessment of the actions of all parties will be given upon the completion of the pre-trial investigation.
