A child survived after falling from the eighth floor in Pavlodar — the incident occurred on the evening of September 9, according to infohub.kz.

The press service of the Emergency Situations Department of Pavlodar Region said the accident was recorded at around 21:00. According to preliminary data, the child was on the balcony of an apartment on the eighth floor of an apartment building, climbed onto a chair and fell out of the window.

The department clarified that the child survived, but their condition is assessed as serious.

According to the regional Emergency Situations Department, six similar cases of children falling from height have been registered in the region since the beginning of the year, two of which ended in the deaths of the children.

In this regard, rescuers urged parents not to leave children unattended in rooms with open windows and on balconies. They also recommend not placing furniture or other items near windows that a child could use to climb onto the windowsill, and installing reliable locks, grilles or opening limiters on windows.
