In Uralsk, police officers have been awarded for their bravery in detaining a suspect in an armed robbery who offered resistance, as reported by infohub.kz.

According to the information media portal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the officers were honored with departmental awards for their professionalism and courage shown during the arrest.

The head of the police department of the West Kazakhstan region, Arman Orazaliyev, presented the badges "30 years of the Kazakhstan Police" to police captain Yerkebulan Zhumakashev and police sergeant Berik Lukpanov, who serve in the Uralsk police department.

During the ceremony, the head of the department particularly noted the vigilance and efficiency of the officers, and expressed gratitude for their diligent service and contribution to ensuring public safety.

Recall that the incident occurred on July 31 in one of the stores in Uralsk. An unknown person in a mask, threatening the seller with a knife, stole money from the cash register and fled the scene. During operational search measures, police officers noticed a man in the grass trying to hide.

When attempting to identify him, the suspect offered armed resistance and attacked the officers with a knife, but he was quickly subdued and detained. As a result of the incident, no one was injured.
