The global box office for the new blockbuster starring Tom Holland has surpassed $2 billion, which will secure the actor a record payday, according to infohub.kz.

According to insiders, the 30-year-old actor's base advance is at least $20 million. However, Holland's main income comes from a percentage of the box office gross of "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," which has no upper limit. As a result, his total earnings could exceed $100 million.

The film continues to lead the global box office for the third consecutive week and is showing impressive financial results. This level of income highlights the actor's enormous salary growth: for his first appearance as Peter Parker in "Captain America: Civil War" in 2016, Holland received only $250,000.

Representatives for Sony and the actor have so far declined to comment on the contract terms. In addition to the superhero role, Holland also starred this year in "The Odyssey," which became one of the season's critical and commercial successes.
