In a national address, US President Donald Trump announced the declassification of documents related to the 2020 presidential election and named several countries as threats to the American electoral system, reports infohub.kz.
Trump said the White House will declassify documents collected by a working group on government transparency together with members of the President's Intelligence Advisory Board. "I am announcing the immediate declassification and publication of critical intelligence data revealing shocking vulnerabilities in our electoral infrastructure," the American leader emphasized.
In his speech, Trump accused China of the largest historical compromise of electoral data since 2020. Overall, he named Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran as threats to the US electoral system. "We believe that US adversaries – including at least Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea, as well as non-state groups – have the capability to compromise electoral infrastructure," Trump said.
