In the Ekibastuz region of Pavlodar Oblast, two modern primary healthcare facilities have been officially opened: a feldsher-midwife station (FAP) in the village of Bayet and a medical center in the village named after academician Alkey Margulan. The commissioning of these specialized buildings will significantly improve medical services for 1,173 residents, including 344 children, reports infohub.kz.
The new FAP in Bayet was built under the national project "Modernization of Rural Healthcare." It is designed to serve 822 residents (231 children). The facility includes rooms for feldsher consultations, procedures, vaccinations, a specialized obstetric room, and a separate area for collecting biomaterials. Meanwhile, the medical center in the village named after academician Alkey Margulan was constructed under the regional development program, replacing an old unsuitable building. It will serve 351 people (113 children). In addition to procedure, vaccination, and nursing rooms, a pharmacy point has been set up, allowing villagers to buy medicines on-site.
Both facilities are built to modern standards: they are connected to central water supply, equipped with autonomous electric heating, and fully adapted for people with limited mobility thanks to ramps and widened doorways. Residents now have access to routine and preventive check-ups, primary diagnostics, vaccination, emergency care, as well as procedures and medications.
"Our priority is to make primary healthcare fast, high-quality, and accessible right at home. With these facilities, residents no longer have to travel dozens of kilometers to the city for basic treatment or consultations. The buildings provide an ergonomic and safe environment, equally convenient for visitors and medical staff," emphasized Togzhan Kabyltayeva, chief physician of the "Center for Personal Medicine" LLP.
The opening of these facilities is another step in the systematic modernization of rural medicine: in 2025–2026, under the national modernization project, a medical center also began operating in the village of Kurulysshy in the Ekibastuz region.
