Vin Diesel has announced that filming for the eleventh and final installment of the 'Fast & Furious' franchise will begin in December, provided the requirements of Universal Pictures are met, reports infohub.kz.

In an interview with Variety, Diesel stated that the final film, titled 'Fast Forever', is scheduled to start shooting in December of this year. He revealed that the script took four years to develop, with four teams of writers working on it. The actor admitted that the final version, which he read a couple of weeks ago, brought him to tears, prompting his sister to joke, 'Stop crying, little brother.'

Director Louis Leterrier, who helmed the tenth installment, will return for the project. The release is set for March 17, 2028. This will be the concluding chapter of the main franchise, which began in 2001 and has grossed over $7.3 billion worldwide. Previously, 'Fast X' left the story unfinished, and the new film is expected to bring back Dwayne Johnson as Luke Hobbs and Gal Gadot as Gisele. Production has been repeatedly delayed due to script rewrites and budget issues.
