Actor Reveals Untold Stories Behind Popular Kazakh Band MuzArt's Formation
Actor Sherkhan Samatuly, known for his work at the Turkistan Theatre, has unveiled previously unknown details about the formation and early struggles of the beloved Kazakh music group MuzArt. Speaking on the "Good Morning, Kazakhstan" program, Samatuly discussed an upcoming stage production dedicated to the band, promising to shed light on their journey.
The Genesis of MuzArt and Initial Hurdles
According to Samatuly, the initial members of MuzArt were Maksat Bazarbayev and Meirambek Besbayev. While they envisioned forming a trio, their path crossed with Saken Maigaziyev singing at a restaurant. This encounter led to the three artists deciding to join forces and create the group.
However, the band faced significant obstacles early on. Samatuly recounted an incident where a producer attempted to undermine Maksat Bazarbayev's commitment to the group. The producer reportedly told Bazarbayev that he wasn't a good fit for the band and was better suited for a solo career, aiming to create friction and potentially drive him to leave voluntarily.
Directorial Vision and Public Solidarity
Samatuly highlighted a particularly powerful scene in the production that depicts Meirambek Besbayev's illness. He emphasized the widespread public outpouring of well wishes for Besbayev's recovery during that time. The director has masterfully recreated this moment using ballet artists to evoke a strong emotional response from the audience.
"The audience will be able to experience this production very soon," Sherkhan Samatuly assured, expressing confidence in the upcoming show.
