Almas Sadyrbai, currently under investigation for the alleged embezzlement of approximately 1.2 billion tenge, has publicly addressed the accusations leveled against him. In an interview with The Qazaq Times, Sadyrbai highlighted the extensive nature of the criminal case.

Questioning the Evidence

Sadyrbai stated that while the indictment itself spans 90 pages and the case comprises 500 volumes, there is a conspicuous absence of any direct evidence linking him to the alleged misappropriation of funds. "There isn't a single word or written statement within those materials that says 'Almasbek Sadyrbai took the money' or 'defrauded anyone'," he asserted.

Focus on Farmer Assistance

He further explained that his involvement pertains to state assistance intended for Kazakh farmers, which they were unable to receive. "Currently, they are trying to attribute all the funds received by the farmers to me," Sadyrbai claimed, suggesting a misdirection of responsibility.

Denial and Legal Process

Almas Sadyrbai firmly denies the charges brought against him, emphasizing that the full details and truth of the matter will be revealed during the court proceedings. Law enforcement agencies had previously confirmed an ongoing investigation into the alleged large-scale financial misappropriation involving Sadyrbai. The final verdict in this case rests with the court.
