Armed Intruder Fatally Shot by Secret Service at Trump's Mar-a-Lago Residence

An armed individual was fatally shot by U.S. Secret Service agents after breaching the perimeter of former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida. The incident occurred when the intruder illegally entered the protected area of the property.

Details of the Incident

According to the Secret Service, the man, estimated to be around 20 years old, was carrying a canister of gasoline. Agents confronted the intruder after he bypassed security measures and entered the restricted zone.

A press conference was scheduled for 9:00 AM with representatives from the FBI and Palm Beach County to provide further details. The Secret Service stated that the identity of the deceased would not be released until his next of kin had been notified.

Confrontation and Fatal Shooting

Sheriff Rick Bradshaw later confirmed that the armed man attempted to resist arrest. He was spotted by a sergeant and two security agents. When confronted, the intruder was ordered to drop the canister and his firearm.

While the man complied with dropping the gasoline canister, he prepared to fire his weapon. At this point, the sergeant and Secret Service agents opened fire, neutralizing the threat.

The investigation is ongoing, with the FBI leading the inquiry and receiving full cooperation from local authorities. Mar-a-Lago, located in Florida, is the private residence of the 45th and 47th U.S. President, Donald Trump, and has been considered the family's permanent home since November 2019.

This event follows a recent assassination attempt on Donald Trump during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania in July 2024.
