Atyrau Family Tragedy: New Details Emerge in Investigation, Suspects Extradited
An ongoing investigation into a brutal family tragedy in the village of Zhangeldin, Atyrau region, is revealing disturbing new information. Authorities are meticulously examining the use of the deceased's bank cards and personal documents, as well as investigating the sale of livestock belonging to the family. These findings are expected to significantly contribute to understanding and clarifying the circumstances of the crime.
Potential for New Charges and Episodes
The investigation is considering the possibility of adding new charges and episodes to the criminal case. During the extradition of suspects apprehended in Indonesia, their personal documents and bank cards were handed over to law enforcement agencies. Among the recovered items were five identity cards, including those of Maksot Karabalin, Nasip Oteshkalieva, Nauryz Mukangaliyev, Meirambgul Karabalin, and the suspect Sultan Sarsenmaliyev.
Bank Cards and Pension Funds
Several bank cards were also discovered, including four Kaspi Gold cards and four cards receiving pension payments. Preliminary information suggests the parents received pensions based on their work experience, while the children were receiving disability benefits.
Livestock Sale Under Scrutiny
Investigators are also probing an episode related to the sale of livestock. According to local residents, after Nauryz Mukangaliyev went missing, a message about selling livestock was sent from his WhatsApp number. One neighbor reportedly purchased the animals for approximately one million tenge, transferring the funds to a Kaspi Gold card. If confirmed, the illegal use of bank cards could lead to additional charges.
Decision Regarding Suspect's Wife
On March 10, the suspect's wife, Akbayan Mukangaliyeva, was placed in a mental health center until April 10 for a forensic psychiatric examination. Specialists are tasked with assessing her mental state and providing a conclusion for the investigation. Mukangaliyeva's children are currently being cared for in regional children's institutions. Although the couple was officially divorced, they were reportedly living together.
