Dariga Nazarbayeva, the eldest daughter of Kazakhstan's First President Nursultan Nazarbayev, has seen a notable shift in her financial standing, dropping to 20th place in the latest Forbes Kazakhstan rankings for the wealthiest individuals. Her estimated net worth is now valued at $550 million.

This represents a decrease from the previous year, when Nazarbayeva held the 17th position with an estimated fortune of $571 million in 2025. The publication has not detailed the specific reasons behind this change in her ranking.

Business Holdings

Nazarbayeva's business interests are substantial. Alongside her son Nuraly Aliyev, she holds ownership stakes in companies such as "Europa Plus Kazakhstan" and "Independent Television Channel" (NTC). Furthermore, through the "DLS Group" holding, she has interests in "Region-Media," "Naruzhnaya Reklama-Regiony," and "Telefabrik "Dala.".

Sister's Financial Strength

In contrast, Dariga Nazarbayeva's sister, Dinara Kulibayeva, has strengthened her position, climbing to third place in this year's ranking. Her wealth is estimated at $5.4 billion, a slight increase from the $5.3 billion she held last year, which placed her in fourth position. Dinara Kulibayeva, along with her husband Timur Kulibayev, controls 61.99% of Halyk Bank shares through their "Almex" holding.
