Ali Akbar Joukar, Iran's Ambassador to Kazakhstan, has stated that there is no direct threat to Kazakhstan or Central Asia stemming from the current military situation in the Middle East. However, he cautioned that future instability within Iran could pose risks to the region.

Future Risks and Extremism

Responding to journalists' questions about whether the conflict's consequences could reach Kazakhstan's borders, Ambassador Joukar clarified, "There is no danger for Kazakhstan. Only if instability or mass unrest occurs in Iran in the future, a certain threat could arise for the Central Asian region. In such a scenario, there is a possibility of extremists and terrorists entering from the Middle East," he explained.

Caspian Sea Security

Media representatives also inquired about the safety of shipping in the Caspian Sea. According to the ambassador, the coastal states themselves bear the primary responsibility for ensuring security in the Caspian Sea.

It is worth recalling that on February 28, the United States and Israel launched a military operation against Iran. According to the latest reports, at least 1,300 people have died in Iran as a result of the attacks.
