Kazakh MP Vows to Take His Humble Chair When Leaving Office
Member of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, Ardaq Nazarov, has surprised many with his candid remarks about his tenure and his workspace. He shared a distinctive perspective on his parliamentary seat, stating his intention to take it with him upon leaving his post.
A Humble Beginning in the Office
Nazarov recalled an incident from the very day he was elected as a deputy. Upon entering his office, he encountered a large, plush leather armchair. However, the very next day, the deputy replaced this imposing seat with a simple, worn-out small stool, noticeably frayed at the edges.
"I thought that if I sat in that armchair, I might start feeling different," Nazarov explained.
The Special Seat Remains
According to the deputy, this unique, modest seat is still kept in his office. He conveyed that he made this choice to preserve his humility and to prevent himself from becoming overly attached to the privileges of his position.
"When I leave my deputy position, I will take that chair with me," Ardaq Nazarov concluded.
