Kazakhstan Businesses: Avoid Losing Sole Proprietor Status by February 28
Kazakhstan's State Revenue Committee has issued a crucial deadline for businesses operating under special tax regimes. All individual entrepreneurs and legal entities that utilized special tax regimes before January 1, 2026, must submit a notification regarding their chosen tax regime by February 28, 2026.
Automatic Tax Regime Changes Loom
Failure to comply with this requirement will trigger an automatic transition to the general tax regime. In some cases, businesses might even be deregistered as sole proprietors. This directive applies to all business entities that were operating under special tax regimes at the beginning of this year.
How to Submit Your Tax Regime Notification
Entrepreneurs have several convenient options for submitting their notifications. These include using the taxpayer's online cabinet, the e-Salyq Business mobile application, or through the applications of second-tier banks. For those who prefer a traditional method, submitting a paper-based notification is also an option.
Tax authorities are urging business representatives to adhere to this deadline to prevent the unintended consequences of an automatic tax regime change and to ensure continued compliance.
