Kazakhstan National Hockey Team Unveils World Championship Roster

The Kazakhstan national hockey team has officially revealed its squad for the upcoming World Championship, where they will compete for a spot in the elite division. Head coach Talgat Zhaiлауоv has finalized a roster of 23 players, including 20 forwards and 3 goaltenders.

Road to the Elite Division

The team is set to battle against Ukraine, France, Poland, Lithuania, and Japan in a bid to rejoin the top tier of international hockey. The tournament is scheduled to take place from May 2nd to May 8th in Sosnowiec, Poland.

Goaltenders: Nikita Boyarkin, Andrey Shutov (both from Barys, KHL), Vladislav Nurek (Gornyak, Rudny).

Defencemen: Adil Beketayev, Dmitry Breus, Samat Daniyar (all from Barys, KHL), Tamirlan Gaitamirov, Beibarys Oralov, Kirill Nikitin (all from Nomad, Astana), Fedor Khoroshev (Torpedo, Oskemen), Eduard Mikhailov (Saryarka, Karaganda).

Forwards: Alikhan Assetov, Dinmukhamed Kairzhan, Vsevolod Logvin, Alikhan Umirbekov, Kirill Savitsky, Semen Simonov, Ansar Shaikhmeddenov (all from Barys, KHL), Artur Gatiyatov, Kirill Lyapunov, Batyrzhan Muratov, Roman Starchenko (all from Nomad, Astana), Arkady Shestakov (Admiral, KHL).

This selection marks a significant step for the team as they prepare to compete on the international stage.
