Kyrgyzstan's Interior Minister, Ulan Niyazbekov, has been held administratively liable and fined for smoking in a public place. The incident came to light following the circulation of a video on social media.

Public Smoking Violation

A short video clip shared online showed the minister smoking in front of a building. After the footage was published, a report was filed against the minister, resulting in a fine of 3,000 Kyrgyzstani som, which is approximately 17,000 Kazakhstani tenge.

The Law Applies to All

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan emphasized that the law is applied equally to everyone, regardless of their position or status. This event has sparked increased public interest in the enforcement of legislation within the country.
