Shymkent has appointed Yerlan Bastarovich Yeskaraev as the new head of its Economics and Budget Planning Department. This move brings an experienced public servant with a diverse background in economic development and financial management to lead a crucial city department.

A Career Rooted in Public Service

Yeskaraev's journey in public service began in 2007. His initial role was as a credit organization manager at 'MKO Ar Nur Credit' LLP. He then transitioned to the public sector, serving as a leading specialist in the economic and budget planning department of Kentau city.

Extensive Experience in Shymkent's Economy

Since 2008, Yeskaraev has been a key figure in Shymkent's economic landscape. He has held various leadership positions within different sectors of the department, gaining significant expertise in socio-economic planning, investment policy, and financial affairs. His tenure includes serving as the Deputy Head of the Shymkent City Economics and Finance Department from 2016 to 2018, followed by a role as Deputy Head of the Economics and Budget Planning Department.

Diverse Leadership Roles

Yeskaraev's leadership experience extends beyond economic planning. He has also served as the Deputy Head of the Shymkent City Employment and Social Protection Department and as a Deputy Akim (Mayor) of Arys city. These varied roles highlight his comprehensive understanding of municipal governance and social welfare initiatives.

Leading the Department Since 2022

In April 2022, Yerlan Yeskaraev took the helm as the Head of the Shymkent City Economics and Budget Planning Department, a position he holds to this day.

Educational Foundation

Yeskaraev holds two higher education degrees. He graduated from the Kazakh University of Engineering-Pedagogical Friendship of Peoples in 2010 and from the Peoples' Friendship University of Kazakhstan in 2013. This academic background provides a strong foundation for his responsibilities in economic and financial management.
