Jiyesbek Orunbasarov has been appointed as the new General Director of 'Bolashak Operating', a subsidiary of the national oil and gas company KazMunayGas. This appointment marks a new chapter for the company, which is responsible for crucial exploration and production activities.

Who is the New Leader?

Born in 1975, Orunbasarov brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He is a graduate of the Atyrau Institute of Oil and Gas, specializing in the drilling of oil and gas wells. His career began as a fitter-assembler at 'Ozenmunaigas' JSC.

Over the years, Orunbasarov has held various key positions, including gas research engineer, drilling supervisor for projects like the North Caspian and North Buzachi fields, production manager at 'Caspian Meruert Operating Company B.V.', production director at 'Zhazhyl Petroleum' LLP, and technical group manager for the authorized body of PSA LLP. He also served as the head of the materials management group for the 'North Caspian Operating Company N.V.' branch and first deputy general director of 'OzenMunaiService' LLP.

Prior to this latest appointment, he was the Production Director at 'Isatay Operating Company' LLP.

About 'Bolashak Operating'

'Bolashak Operating' LLP is a wholly-owned subsidiary of 'KazMunayGas' JSC. The company operates as a subsoil user for the 'Bolashak' project, a complex exploration and production initiative located in the Mangystau region and the Kazakhstani sector of the Caspian Sea.
