Renowned Kazakh singer Sakken Kalymov has shared his deepest life regrets, speaking candidly about his past choices and their impact on his family.

In a heartfelt interview on the "Myng bir tün" program, Kalymov expressed profound sorrow for not appreciating the value of his family, particularly his wife and child, during his younger years.

Regret Over Family Neglect

The singer admitted that the allure of his youth, coupled with indulgence in alcohol and a life of entertainment, led him to overlook the importance of his spouse and son.

"We didn't appreciate the value of a God-given wife, of family. I have such regrets. But I have no regrets about my art. I regret divorcing my wife and not valuing my child," he stated.

Kalymov took full responsibility for his mistakes, refusing to blame external factors like the times or his former wife. He views acknowledging his fault as a sign of strength.

Strained Relationship with Son

The singer also revealed a significant estrangement from his son. Despite the lack of contact, Kalymov stated he understands his son's feelings and holds no resentment.

"Currently, there is absolutely no contact between us. I understand, I'm not offended, their position is correct. I pray that if we ever meet, I can apologize, offer gifts, and win back their affection. That day is not far off," the singer expressed.

Sakken Kalymov has a son from his first marriage and a daughter from his second. He maintains contact with his daughter.
