Six individuals have been detained in connection with the theft of precious metals and illegal entry at the "Altynalmas" mine in the Zhambyl region. The arrests were made following a coordinated operation aimed at curbing criminal activity at the site.

Coordinated Law Enforcement Action

Officers from the anti-organized crime department of the Zhambyl region police, in collaboration with police from Balkhash city, conducted a special operation. This action was carried out under the directive of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The operation successfully apprehended suspects who had illegally entered the Akbakai mine area and were involved in the theft of valuable metals.

Suspects Identified

All apprehended individuals are citizens of Kazakhstan. Five of them have been identified as residents of the Zhambyl and Ulytau regions. Their names are M.D. Sagyndyk, Zh.Zh. Eleusizov, A.K. Usen, A.K. Zhakupov, and B.G. Hafiz.

Police Officer Among Detainees

Notably, a police captain from the patrol police of the Karaganda Regional Police Department, N. Armiya, was also among those arrested. Law enforcement agencies are currently investigating his involvement in the illegal activities. His status within the police force is under review.

Ongoing Investigation

During the initial search, no prohibited items were found on the suspects. However, police are currently searching their vehicles as part of the ongoing investigation. Official details regarding the extent of the damages incurred and the procedural status of the suspects have not yet been released. The investigation is continuing.
