Trump's Stark Warning: An Entire Civilization Faces Annihilation
Former US President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning regarding Iran, stating that an "entire civilization" could be annihilated.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote, "A civilization will be destroyed tonight, and it will not be brought back." He expressed a desire for this outcome not to occur but conveyed his belief that it is a possibility.
Potential for Change in Iran
However, Trump did not rule out the possibility of revolutionary changes in Iran, contingent upon the regime's complete replacement with more rational and less radical leadership. He highlighted the potential end to 47 years of corruption and violence in Iran and wished the Iranian people success.
Escalating Tensions
This statement follows Iran's rejection of Washington's proposal to cease hostilities between Iran and Israel, a stance communicated through a document delivered via Pakistan. Following Trump's increasingly aggressive rhetoric towards Iran, diplomatic ties have reportedly been severed.
Adding to the escalating tensions, the commander of the aerospace forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced the commencement of a new phase of conflict, with the launch systems for Fateh and Kheibar-Shekan missiles being activated.
Previous Threats
This is not the first time Trump has issued strong warnings concerning Iran. In March, he threatened a "very powerful" strike against the country. Shortly thereafter, the US military's Central Command released a video of a B-52 bomber capable of carrying nuclear payloads.
