The United States has officially concluded its military operation against Iran, codenamed 'Epic Rage.' The announcement was made during a White House press briefing by Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

End of 'Epic Rage' Operation

Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed the completion of the 'Epic Rage' operation and informed Congress of its conclusion. He stated that this phase has ended, and a new initiative, 'Project Freedom,' has now commenced.

Restoring Maritime Traffic and Future Negotiations

Rubio emphasized that the primary objective for the U.S. at this juncture is to restore shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. He further clarified that the actions undertaken by U.S. forces during the peacekeeping period were considered a 'defensive operation.'

Previously, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth had indicated that the peacekeeping efforts were not yet finalized. President Donald Trump had not specified the exact circumstances under which the peacekeeping could be violated. Trump did not rule out the possibility of resuming airstrikes if negotiations failed or if Iran breached the terms of the ceasefire.
