Global Construction kz, the contractor for the large-scale reconstruction of the Atakent Exhibition Center in Almaty worth 10.3 billion tenge, reported a sharp rise in financial performance for 2025, according to infohub.kz.
Financial statements show revenue from construction contracts increased 2.3 times, from 2.6 billion to 5.92 billion tenge. Net profit tripled to 390.65 million tenge, up from 130.51 million tenge a year earlier.
Total assets grew from 926.3 million to 1.29 billion tenge in 2025, while retained earnings exceeded 1.03 billion tenge.
The company has been operating since November 2006. In 2025, its largest clients were government agencies and akimats. The Almaty City Construction Department accounted for 1.98 billion tenge in orders (1.17 billion in 2024), while the Almaty City Ecology and Environment Department accounted for 1.27 billion tenge (42.6 million a year earlier). The Karatal District Construction, Architecture and Urban Planning Department ordered 1.23 billion tenge worth of work, and the Kerbulak District Construction, Architecture and Urban Planning Department ordered 1.14 billion tenge (535.7 million in 2024). The Kazakh National Agrarian Research University paid 299.1 million tenge for work.
As of the end of 2025, the company employed 114 people. Timur Dzhakupayev is the sole participant with a 100% ownership stake and the head of Global Construction kz; he is not linked to any other legal entity.
The tender for the reconstruction of the complex's territory was held in August 2025 by the Almaty City Public Spaces Development Department. Seven companies participated. Global Construction kz was to complete the work within nine months, by May 2026. Technical supervision for the project was carried out by Stroyservice KNK for 148 million tenge.
The project was positioned under the concept of a "garden city, city of the future." At the time, officials promised to create a 750-meter main alley, a forest zone with an observation deck, a bicycle path, an amphitheater with a stage, parklets, new and renovated fountains, as well as sports areas for basketball, workout, and table tennis.
