Caspian Beverage Holding, known for producing popular soft drinks, reported a net profit of 106 million tenge on revenue of 5.8 billion tenge for 2025. The results show a 58% drop in profit compared to the previous year, but revenue from product sales increased by 18%, according to infohub.kz.

The main factor behind the profit decline was a significant rise in cost of goods sold, which increased by 38.6% to 4.4 billion tenge, largely due to the higher cost of the drinks themselves, reaching 4 billion tenge. Selling expenses also rose by 24% to 1 billion tenge, driven by a twofold increase in rental costs (to 365 million tenge), transportation expenses (218 million tenge), and labor costs (214 million tenge). Administrative expenses grew by 4% to 916 million tenge.

Without other income, the company would have ended the year with a loss. However, other income amounted to 858 million tenge, mainly from services provided to a related party, Zhig alma, which owns the plant in the Almaty region where the Buratino drink is produced. These services totaled 503.8 million tenge.

The company's short-term trade and accounts payable stand at 3.7 billion tenge, of which 3.5 billion tenge is owed to related parties – trading subsidiaries and affiliated Zhig alma.

Caspian Beverage Holding produces soft drinks under the Buratino brand, juice-containing drinks under Kompotay, cold tea under Ai Tea, and the energy drink Tamga. Previously, the company also produced Zhigulyovskoye beer, but the 2025 report does not include sales data for it.

Ownership structure: 46% of shares belong to Kumisai, and 50% to Almat Akhmetov, who is the chairman of the board of directors and a deputy of the Almaty city maslikhat. The owners of Kumisai are Almas Akhmetov (80%) and Almat Akhmetov himself (20%). Additionally, Almat Akhmetov heads Zhig alma.

The company's history began in 1964 with the creation of the food association "Napitki" in Almaty. It was privatized in 1996 and renamed "Susyndar" in 1999. In 2006, the company received its current name, Caspian Beverage Holding. The soft drink plant itself was founded back in the 1940s.

In spring 2025, there were reports about the relocation of production from Almaty to the Karasai district of the Almaty region.
