Since the beginning of the year, police have conducted 930 raids across cities, villages, and tourist routes in the Mangystau region. As a result, more than 7,400 violators have been brought to responsibility, reports infohub.kz.
The majority of violations (7,352 cases) are related to non-compliance with rules for the upkeep of urban and settlement areas. Another 135 violations concern littering of public spaces. Additionally, two unauthorized dumps were found.
"Relevant information has been sent to authorized and local executive bodies to take measures for their elimination," law enforcement officials noted.
Violations were also detected in the environmental sphere, including on the Caspian Sea coast. Over seven months of 2026, fines were issued to 534 vacationers. Cases of illegal hunting, violations of fishing regulations, and illegal handling of rare and endangered animal species were established.
"Raid activities in these areas are ongoing," warned the regional police department.
Police urged residents and guests of the region to comply with upkeep rules, not to leave waste in recreational areas, and to treat nature with care.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that the UN gave a frightening forecast for the Caspian over the next 50 years.
