RETAM, a real estate management company 90% owned by Kazakh millionaire Alexander Chukreyev, has sold the ADK River shopping and entertainment complex in Ust-Kamenogorsk. The deal could be worth 4.2 billion tenge, according to infohub.kz.
According to a company statement, the shopping and entertainment complex ADK River in Ust-Kamenogorsk was sold under a purchase and sale agreement dated April 22. The buyer's identity is not disclosed: the purchaser is an individual.
RETAM clarified that the sold investment property is valued at 3.16 billion tenge for buildings and structures and 1 billion tenge for the land plot. In addition, in the first quarter the company received 4.2 billion tenge from the sale of long-term assets, which apparently refers to the ADK River mall.
The company's income from property sales in the first quarter amounted to 3.6 billion tenge.
RETAM is 90% owned by businessman Alexander Chukreyev, who ranks 34th on Forbes Kazakhstan's list of the richest businessmen in Kazakhstan. The publication estimates his fortune at $363 million. The remaining 10% belongs to Chukreyev's son, Nikolai.
According to Forbes, the businessman personally and together with his son controls companies that produce and distribute soft drinks. These include the producers of Dizzy, Riks, Ice Tea, Rix-Tea, as well as the bottled water brands Arzu Life Fitness and Asem-Ai Saryagash.
Earlier it was reported that Alexander Chukreyev, known as a co-owner of the producers of Dizzy and Ice Tea, would receive about 1.25 billion tenge in dividends for 2025 from RETAM, which owns the ADK mall in Almaty. Another 110.2 million tenge will go to his son, Nikolai Chukreyev.
