The head of PR for Dior Couture, Mathilde Favier, and renowned film producer Nicolas Altmayer died in a road accident in western France, reports infohub.kz.

The accident occurred on the D938 road in the commune of Erve. According to the prosecutor's office, their Mini collided with a truck traveling in the opposite lane. The couple was heading from Cabourg to Favier's home on the Île de Ré.

Dior confirmed Favier's death. The CEO of Christian Dior Couture, Delphine Arnault, expressed her condolences, saying: "Mathilde was passionately in love with life. With Mathilde's death, Dior loses an incredible professional, and I have lost a loyal friend. Her optimism and courage were admirable. We will miss her smile and talent dearly."

Bernard Arnault, president of LVMH, which owns Dior, also expressed his condolences, emphasizing that Favier devoted many years to "serving the House of Dior with her passion, energy, and talent."

Dior's creative director, Jonathan Anderson, said he was "deeply saddened" by Mathilde Favier's death. He added: "We all owe her a debt of gratitude for her work and dedication. She radiated warmth and energy and was the most positive and inspiring person I have ever met. Mathilde was the embodiment of elegance and, in many ways, the spirit of haute couture itself."

Mathilde Favier was 56 years old and had worked at Dior Couture for over a decade, previously spending 11 years at Prada. Among the Hollywood stars she worked with were Michelle Yeoh, Charlize Theron, Jennifer Lawrence, and Anya Taylor-Joy. She published a book, "Mathilde in Paris," and founded the association "Aesthetics and Cancer" to help people with oncological diseases.

Nicolas Altmayer, 61, headed the film company Mandarin alongside his brother Éric Altmayer. He produced films by François Ozon, the Foncinos brothers, and the "Agent 117" series. The biopic "Saint Laurent" (2014) starring Pierre Niney won an award at the Cannes Film Festival.
