The general director of Orica-Kazakhstan, a subsidiary of the world's largest explosives manufacturer, received compensation of 110.3 million tenge in 2025. The position is held by Spanish citizen Jose Luis Alonso Bergada, reports the website infohub.kz.
On average, the top manager's monthly income was about 9 million tenge. At the same time, Orica-Kazakhstan's profit for 2025 increased by 21% to 8.7 billion tenge.
The enterprise is the largest in Kazakhstan's chemical industry for the production of explosives. The main consumers of its products are the country's mining companies, including enterprises of the Ekibastuz coal basin, ERG, Kazzinc, Altynalmas, Kazakhmys, and others.
The company's ownership structure is as follows: 51% belongs to British Orica UK Limited, and 49% to German Orica Europe Pty Ltd & Co. KG. The ultimate controlling shareholder of the group is the Australian company Orica, a recognized global leader in the production of industrial explosives.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that the coal mining company Shubarkol Premium paid two members of its executive body a total of 245.1 million tenge in compensation in 2025.
