Construction company Sensata Construction ended 2025 with a net loss of 1.1 billion tenge, after posting a profit of 4.3 billion tenge the previous year, reports infohub.kz.
According to the annual financial report, the company's revenue for the reporting period doubled to 25.4 billion tenge from 12.6 billion tenge in 2024. However, the cost of goods sold and services nearly tripled, from 8.3 billion to 23.3 billion tenge, leading to the loss. Administrative expenses increased from 409.2 million to 3.2 billion tenge, while financial income declined from 3.9 billion to 51.9 million tenge. Nevertheless, thanks to profits from previous years, the company's retained earnings at the end of 2025 stood at 4.8 billion tenge.
At the end of the reporting period, Sensata Construction was owned equally (50% each) by two Kazakhstani entrepreneurs, Tasbolat Abdullin and Askar Duisenbayev. In 2025, the company accrued dividends to its founders in the amount of 1.1 billion tenge. At the time of the report's publication, the co-owners were listed as private companies Sensata Construction Group and Sensata Astana Ltd.
Sensata Construction Group is owned by Sensata Astana Ltd., which in turn is owned by private company Sensata Ltd. The latter's co-owners are also Tasbolat Abdullin, who in the 2010s served as Deputy Chairman of the Board for Development at BI Group, and Askar Duisenbayev.
According to the Adata.kz service, these two entrepreneurs are co-owners of 41 companies, many of which have the word Sensata in their names. In 2025, Sensata Construction's counterparties included numerous companies with similar names: Sensata Construction Group, Sensata Build, Sensata Grand, Sensata Development, Sensata Urban Development, Sensata Invest, Sensata Holding, Sensata Story, Sensata Almaty.
Among the counterparties for short-term trade receivables is also Bishimbayeva Aruzhan Valikhanovna, a full namesake of the sister of Kuandyk Bishimbayev, who was convicted of murdering his wife. The amount of debt is only 10,000 tenge.
The remuneration of the company's director, Maxim Mikhailov, in 2025 amounted to 77.6 million tenge, which on average equals 6.7 million tenge per month. The report notes: "As of December 31, 2025, key management personnel consisted of one person (as of December 31, 2024: one person). Remuneration of the partnership's key management personnel for the year ended December 31, 2025, amounted to 77,552 thousand tenge (December 31, 2024: 4,407 thousand tenge) and was included in administrative personnel remuneration."
At the end of last year, the company owned seven land plots for construction in the Kairat microdistrict of the Turksib district of Almaty and five plots along Tlendiyev Avenue in the Saryarka district of Astana. The report also lists several unfinished projects: the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Reception House, multi-apartment residential complexes (MZHK) on Y669 Street and on Hussein bin Talal Street, the Talmas residential complex, and the CICA headquarters.
