Gas Energy Construction, a Taraz-based construction company specializing in pipeline laying, posted a net profit of 1.14 billion tenge for 2025, up sharply from just 37.9 million tenge a year earlier, the website infohub.kz reports.
Total revenue for the same period rose from 4.8 billion to 6.8 billion tenge, with 6.7 billion tenge coming from construction and installation work.
The company attributes the multiple-fold growth in its financial results to the high margins on trunk pipeline projects and the efficient use of its own fleet of specialized equipment. Cost optimization also helped lock in the profit: administrative expenses fell from 416.6 million to 336.1 million tenge, while other income rose to 282.1 million tenge. As a result, the company's retained earnings reached 2.05 billion tenge by the end of 2025.
The financial leap is all the more notable given recent difficulties: as recently as December 2022, a ruling by the Zhambyl Region court placed the company under a rehabilitation procedure.
Gas Energy Construction is registered in Taraz and holds a license for the full range of construction and installation work — from laying trunk gas and oil pipelines to building roads and power transmission lines.
The company owns a production base in Konaev, and in August 2026 it acquired an additional 1/9 stake in a base in the North Kazakhstan Region. It also holds investment property on its books — seven apartments in Kokshetau worth a total of 141.7 million tenge (399.5 square meters). The company received them in 2025 as compensation for completed construction work.
Judging by its short-term receivables from buyers and customers, the company operates throughout Kazakhstan. For example, receivables from the energy and housing and utilities department of the Zhetisu Region amounted to 88.7 million tenge in 2025, from the Munaily District Department of Construction, Architecture and Urban Planning — 61.4 million tenge, from the Department of Construction, Architecture and Urban Planning of the Ili District — 12.7 million tenge, from the Department of Housing and Utilities, Passenger Transport, Roads, Construction and Housing Inspection of Temirtau — 38.6 million tenge, and from the Energy and Utilities Department of the Almaty Region — 1.4 million tenge.
As of the time of writing, the sole owner and head of Gas Energy Construction is Kuanysh Ilyasov. He also heads and solely owns the capital-based company "KHOZU Spirit Kazakhstan" (construction of trunk oil and gas pipelines), which acts as a partner of Gas Energy Construction.
