The State Revenue Committee has identified discrepancies in the reports of 20,000 companies regarding corporate income tax and VAT. The total amount of discrepancies exceeded 26 trillion tenge, of which 10.5 billion tenge have already been transferred to the budget, reports infohub.kz.

In response to a request from LSM.kz, the State Revenue Committee (SRC) reported that based on the results of camera control for VAT for the first quarter of 2026, discrepancies in declarations were found in 4,300 companies, amounting to 94 billion tenge.

For corporate income tax reports for 2025, the discrepancies turned out to be significantly more serious. In total, 15,700 legal entities received notifications. The total volume of discrepancies reached 26.7 trillion tenge.

Notably, micro- and small businesses exceeded large and medium-sized businesses in terms of the amount of discrepancies. Small businesses received 17,600 discrepancy notifications totaling 15.3 trillion tenge. Among large and medium-sized companies, 2,800 received notifications for a total of 11.5 trillion tenge.

Based on fulfilled notifications, an additional 13 billion tenge in taxes were assessed, of which 10.5 billion tenge were transferred to the budget.

The main discrepancies in the declarations were understated VAT amounts on sales, understated income for CIT, overstated VAT amounts claimed for offset, as well as overstated deductions for CIT.

Earlier it was reported that in 2027, the Ministry of Finance plans to receive 9.5 trillion tenge in VAT revenues – 36% more than the expected tax collections in 2026.
