Swedish automaker Volvo Cars will handle distribution of China's Lynk & Co brand in Europe, giving the Chinese marque access to the Swedish company's dealer and service network, according to infohub.kz.

China Daily reports that Volvo will take on not only sales of Lynk & Co vehicles but also after-sales service. That will let the Chinese brand lean on an existing dealer network rather than build its own infrastructure from scratch.

Geely Auto, meanwhile, will retain responsibility for the global design of Lynk & Co cars, the development of new models, certification and the brand's overall strategy.

Lynk & Co was launched in 2016 and was initially aimed in part at the European market. Today the brand's cars are sold officially in around 50 countries.

According to Car Industry Analysis, 7,300 Lynk & Co vehicles were sold in Europe in the first six months of 2026, up 58% from the same period in 2025.

Geely is also expanding its manufacturing footprint in Europe: the company has agreed with Ford to build electric crossovers at a plant in Valencia, with the first vehicles due to roll off the line in 2028.

Kursiv Auto previously reported that Geely may start producing Zeekr vehicles at Volvo plants in Sweden and Belgium.
