Experts from the Kazakh Scientific Research Institute of Plant Protection and Quarantine have begun investigating the primary reasons behind this widespread insect proliferation.

These include unusually warm weather patterns, high humidity levels, rapid growth of green spaces, and the specific characteristics of the city's irrigation and drainage systems. In response to the growing public concern, the Almaty city administration has initiated treatment measures in affected areas. The treatments are utilizing approved pesticides registered for use in Kazakhstan, which have been confirmed to be safe for both humans and animals.
