A Life Dedicated to Poetry

Born in 1984 in the Altai region of the People's Republic of China, Serikbai Abilmazhin pursued higher education, graduating from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University's chemistry faculty in 2008 and later completing a philology degree at Shokan Valikhanov Kokshetau State University in 2015.

Early Career and Literary Contributions

Abilmazhin began his professional journey as a teacher in schools within the Burabay district. He later served as the director of the Burabay District Centralized Library System and worked as an editor for the local newspaper "Burabay."

His poetic talent was recognized early, with his verses included in the collective poetry collection "Saryarqa Samaly" and the ten-volume anthology of Kazakh poetry, "Zhyrmarzhany." Abilmazhin published his own collections, including "Urkertolghaq" in 2014 and "Sarsha Tamyz" in 2021, solidifying his place as a notable voice in contemporary Kazakh literature.
