Four people were brutally killed in the village of Zhangeldin in the Atyrau region، and the court has sentenced the accused، Sultan Sarsemaliyev، to life imprisonment، reports infohub.kz.
The tragedy occurred late last year. According to the investigation، Sarsemaliyev with extreme cruelty murdered the parents، brother، and sister of his ex-wife، Akbayan Mukangaliyeva. The prosecutor had requested exactly this punishment — life imprisonment under the article on murder of two or more persons with extreme cruelty and for mercenary motives. Other articles of the Criminal Code are also involved in the case.
The court agreed with the prosecution's arguments and imposed the maximum sentence — life imprisonment. The verdict has not yet entered into force and can be appealed.
