The amounts varied from 100 to 500 thousand tenge per operation. In one case، a patient paid 1.5 million tenge for spinal surgery. "Despite the fact that the operations were performed free of charge under the guaranteed volume، the doctor demanded money from patients،" said a representative of the anti-corruption agency. The criminal case has been sent to court.
