During routine social media monitoring, police officers identified a video showcasing a group of drivers performing hazardous maneuvers on Al-Farabi Avenue. The footage revealed serious violations, including driving in oncoming lanes, creating potentially fatal situations, and disregarding safety regulations.

Drivers Apprehended and Cited

Authorities confirmed that investigators successfully identified and detained all individuals involved in the street race. According to Abdinur Tasybayev, head of the administrative police department of the Almaty City Police Department, the drivers face administrative charges for their dangerous actions. These include making perilous maneuvers, entering oncoming traffic, creating emergency situations, using mobile phones while driving, and not wearing seatbelts.

Police Emphasize Safety Consequences

Police officials stressed the life-threatening nature of such driving behavior. They reiterated that regardless of the time or method of the violations, each offense will be legally assessed, and those responsible will be held accountable.
