Almaty is gearing up to celebrate Nauryz، the spring festival، with several major streets set to experience temporary traffic restrictions. These closures are part of the preparations and the event itself، aiming to facilitate festivities while minimizing disruption.

Street Closures for Nauryz Festivities

From March 16th at 3:00 AM until March 23rd at midnight، a significant section of Tole Bi Street will be closed to vehicles. This closure affects the stretch between Nazarbayev Avenue and Abylai Khan Avenue، a central artery in the city.

Impact on Public Transport

The temporary road closures will necessitate adjustments to the routes of at least 10 bus lines. These changes will be in effect from March 16th at 3:00 AM until the conclusion of the Nauryz events.

The affected bus routes include: No. 16، No. 37، No. 48، No. 126، No. 201، No. 205، No. 206، No. 209، No. 210، and No. 224.

City officials are urging drivers to plan their journeys in advance and to be aware of these temporary traffic limitations to ensure smooth travel during the holiday period.
