Residents of a multi-story building on K. Kaisenov Street in Atyrau are facing significant hardship after being cut off from their gas supply for two consecutive days. The disruption has left families unable to cook or heat water، prompting urgent appeals for assistance from relevant authorities.

Faulty Valve Cited as Cause

The issue stems from a faulty gas shut-off valve on the building's facade، which was declared to be in an emergency condition. 'AtyrauGazInvest' LLP notified the building's cooperative of apartment owners (KSK) about the necessity of replacing the valve. However، according to residents، no action has been taken to address the problem.

KSK Refuses Responsibility

When the gas supply was halted، residents contacted their KSK، 'Nayzar'. They report that KSK representatives refused to replace the valve، instead suggesting that residents purchase the necessary materials and cover the repair costs themselves.

Shared Property Dispute

The crux of the dispute lies in the fact that the faulty component is part of the shared gas supply system، making it common property of the building. As such، residents argue that the management organization، the KSK، is responsible for its maintenance and repair.

Residents Seek Official Intervention

In response to the KSK's inaction، residents have filed a collective complaint with the Atyrau City Housing Inspectorate. They are demanding an investigation into the KSK's conduct، a legal assessment of their refusal to act، and an order to resolve the gas supply issue promptly.

As of now، it remains uncertain how long residents will have to endure these difficult living conditions or when the KSK will fulfill its obligations.
